School Reviews

5   1/19/2012
I have been very concerned since my boy entered WMS. He has never been a straight-A student, but his grades were decent until 6th grade. He barely squeezed thru the 6th. I have talked to alot of parents of children in middle school and the story is the same. In my day, teachers would walk up and the aisle and watch every student do a problem or project and if we were having difficulties, they would stop and help explain further until we understood what to do. Also, have you considered nanny cameras in the classrooms? This might help keep teachers and students in check. In case of a dispute, administrators could check it out . It might also give insight on if the teachers could improve their techniques . At this age, some kids think their friends might call them stupid for asking for help. This is a hard age to teach since they are going from children to teen and it takes some seriously dedicated and patient teachers. There are alot of unhappy parents of middle school kids in Wagoner. P.S. My boy did make decent grades, A's B's and C's, until the end of 5th grade. Thank you.
