Ellensburg High School offers students wonderful opportunities for being such a small town. I would say I really recommend it, but it's the only high school in town, so I guess I don't have to. The teachers care about their jobs and students and are willing to talk outside of class. The AP and IB, as well as Running Start, participation is really astonishing because of how small of a town we are (and we''re not one of those Harvard-student-spewing small towns). The school also offers a wide range of electives, including orchestra, band, choir, computer programming, woodshop, metal shop, newspaper, yearbook, photography, art history, and many others. The school itself is newly remodeled, with 2 stories and nice classrooms. The athletic facilities inside and outside the building are kept up well and are very nice.
