I have been to DMS and have never experienced any of the problems described in the last comment, no one I knew of had any problem regarding racism and things like discrimination. This school has a very homey and family type felling. When your there, you truly feel like all of the student and faculty care about you. I have never heard of kids doing drugs at DMS. Everyone here is super friendly and they all talk to everyone. I have moved to other schools for reasons not regarding school at all, and all of the other schools make kids feel like robots and you just don't get that caring and loving environment anywhere else, DMS is wonderful!

I have had two of my children attend this school. Unfortunately, we have encountered a lot of discrimination, prejudice, and racism at Douglass Middle School in Woodland, CA. If you care about your kids, please send your kids somewhere else! I have tried to communicate with several teachers, the principal, and vice principal. However, to my disappointment, most of the staff was against my outstanding children. I have heard from others in town that there are a lot of drugs at Douglass Middle School. I never would have dreamed of 13 year olds being exposed to ecstacy or marijuana! Please, for the safety of your kids, do not send your kids to this school!
