School Reviews

There are plenty of extracurricular activities to choose from including lots of clubs offered each semester. The building is what it is, but the location is fantastic and makes up for the school being in what looks like an office building--though I can assure you our daughter doesn't think that her school feels like an office building. She thinks her school feels like school! Alexander Rose-Henig, the head of the school, is very responsive and accessible and seems to know every child by their first name.

This is a very poorly run organization. Corporate sends a new head of school every year so there is very little consistency from year to year. It feels like the DC campus is a training center for Administrators. The academic course load is rigorous, great if your child is genius but if not it will be a tough year. Rules are inflexible and very little support is provided students until they are failing. By the time is a student is in 7th grade, they only have one elective for either art, music or phys ed. Wish we had chosen differently.

- Quality of academic programs, teachers, and facilities
- Availability of music, art, sports and other extracurricular activities

Teachers in 19 States Allowed to Physically Punish Students
As of 2014, nineteen states still allow corporal punishment – spanking and paddling the most common choices – in their public schools. However, some argue that not only are these punishments physically harmful, they also are disproportionately administered to students of color. As a result, House democrats have taken up the issue in a new bill that would ban all forms of corporal punishment nationwide.
