I am a certified teacher with 17 years of working with students, families, and their communities. As an educator and parent, I am very familiar with the many issues surrounding education. As a life time learner, I am committed to staying abreast with the various present day concerns in our education system such as standardized assessment controversies, NCLB Act reform, parental involvement, dropout rates, educator preparedness programs, career and higher education options, and illiteracy.
