School Reviews

Alta Vista's teachers are truly this year 2016 above the bar. They care about the students, however the administration has a lot to be delivered. They seem to only care about the numbers. It is a good school for Hispanic children, not so much for other races. They tend to show preference towards one race over another. What is good for one student should be good for the rest. If they had a better administration it could be a better school.

Alta Vista High School has a very hig quality of education. Teachers challenge their students to exercise their minds. They hold us to higher expectations in the grading scale. They also prepare students very well for their future college experience. Many students have exceeded the AIMS. The school is very high in technology. Alta Vista offers extracurricular activities such as sports and clubs. Since its a smaller school we have less extracurricular activities than other schools. Students are always awarded for their academic and athletic awards. The school doesn't have a football field or cafeteria, but its a great school. Everyone communicates with each other. In a small environment people know most people and we have a great community. There are no descriminations or racial problems. Parents are involved and they support their students when its necessary.
