School doesn't work with families at all. I would not recommend taking your children here if you have other options. Ipad program is really bad for student learning.

Alki is the best school anyone can go to. The teachers are helpful and care about the students. If you need something they will help you with it. They stop kids from being bullied and from bullying others. So kids should really go to Alki Middle School.

Parents are discourged when asking to volunteer or provide resources. The Facilities are wonderful but the open mod centers are distacting. Academic programs are adequate but that is all. For more advanced pupils you must self transport your child to a different school. Faculty and staff are difficult at best and very good at making the children feel they are more important than the rest of the world. If you want your children to be ridiculed for trying and to ask continually for conferences that fail to materialize than this is a good location. Otherwise, save your time and energy and get a boundry exception for a school with a staff that cares about your kid!

i thought that the school over all was very involved in the comunity bit needed a bit more help. there was not a lot of things to help the overly gifted students. At Alki there is definantly activities like art music and sports. Sports is a big one the teams are very big which can be aplus or a minus. they have honor role breakfast were you get an award for your grade point average if its high enough. there is not a lot of parent invlovment at Alki i very rarely ever saw a parent at alki. The problem that pulled me away was that as a new student i know i was not acted like an equal no one really egnoleged i existed or had feelings. i am trying to switch to another school this summer becuase of that problem
