School Reviews

I like the school, but Im concerned where the kids have to play in the front parking lot of the school! Even thow there is a gate the school sits down off a embankment from main hwy road, don't seem safe enough for my blind autistic son! I'm also concerned about the school being able to keep a proper educated one on one for my son! Because of his Autism , and visual impairment, he needs to be with the same one on one everyday to even feel comfortable to learn from the person or Teachers! Im very concerned about his treatment from this school, because he has had at least 4 to 5 different one on one Teacher's well the Teacher's assistant I guess! I would prefer that he work with one person, he understands better instead of be confused to who or what is coming next! My son needs a hour by hour schedule to be set in his IEP plan and needs to have the same one on one everyday not moving him around to 5 or 6 different people during the day, that is what makes him stress out and have out burst and behavioral problems! I also feel that the school should provide a behavioral therapist on campus! My son needs more OT ,more Speech therapy, and definitely needs daily behavioral therapy as well? So I'm just not that comfortable with sending my child from Merritt Island all the way to titusville it just seems to be more like day care for our children with disabilities and these special daily needs! So I will be talking to the school board on my concern's and the reason's I didn't send him regularly last year for these same concern's? Thank you!
