School Reviews

5   5/18/2009
As a current student at Bloomington High School North, I have a fantastic perspective on the quality of the curricula, as well as the extra curriculum activities available. BHSN offers a wide variety of honors and AP courses, varying from Biology to Music Theory. The diversity in courses helps students identify their strengths, and helps them accentuate their unique skills and abilities. BHSN also has one of the best music programs in the state, participating in the Macy Day Parade on occasion, as well as doing well in state competitions. Other then the music program, North offers a variety of intellectually stimulating clubs and organizations, such as the nationally ranked science Olympiad team, academic super bowl, debate team, and etc... While BHSN is in the middle of Indiana, it offers a wide variety of cultural diversity, with students representing over forty different countries and cultures. International club is a extracurricular activity that establishes a community for foreign types to interact with other students who have similar experiences and views. BHSN offers an excellent program for those willing to work hard, and the school attempts to nurture student's talents, as well as giving them a balanced education.
