School Reviews

1   2/15/2021
Aurora Central High School contains many learning and opportunity deficits. My son took the Algebra class freshman year and basically reviewed what his middle school taught the year before. We were able to change his class to an accelerated course second semester, and yet the class still manages to be incredibly slow. The classes are easy, and the lack of challenge allows the students to stagnate while other schools push their students to grow. The office ladies sent me away when we asked about the password to the school accounts. Unfortunately, a lot of the faculty does the bare minimum, and that leaves the students to do the bare minimum. I understand the school has that reputation, but that is not an excuse for the faculty to neglect their work. A lot of the students are at risk and underprivileged. Schools are meant to be a center for learning and opportunities. Ultimately, Aurora Central fails to uphold these responsibilities.
