School Reviews

I would recommend this school for anyone living in the area. It was a great place to learn where every teacher knew your name and something about you, it was a personal and great atmosphere to learn in. There has been some changes in admin over the last few years but so far I have seen a helpful staff and very little impact through the transition. It has also helped me personally gain opportunities even after leaving the school.

Hostile and unwelcome environment. This is our last year and we could not be happier. The actual teachers are great, but the running of the school is questionable. My chief complaint is that the school schedules meetings/open houses/concerts, etc. at the last minute and at times that those of us who have jobs cannot attend. Everything is at 3 or 5 pm and sometimes there are weeks where you have to be at the school at 11am to pick up your child, several days in a row. My student received a 0 for not attending a concert that started at 4:30 or 5pm. I don't even leave work until 6 and my spouse works out of town during the week. If we had been told a month in advance we could have made arrangements. Your lucky to get 3 days notice. Most employers won't allow you time off. You know the school makes these schedules at the beginning of the year. They should be courteous and understand that we need at least 4 weeks notice to take time off from work. It's a great school if you are a stay at home parent and can drop everything at a moment's notice.

The review from 2012-08-20? What school do they attend. Everything is planned in advance and announcements made via website / email and connect-Ed. Teachers are great! We miss Mr. Gay being at the middle school. Learned a lot from old english teacher - but glad she is gone! A much nicer place. I could not image having my child anywhere else!!!

Teachers in 19 States Allowed to Physically Punish Students
As of 2014, nineteen states still allow corporal punishment – spanking and paddling the most common choices – in their public schools. However, some argue that not only are these punishments physically harmful, they also are disproportionately administered to students of color. As a result, House democrats have taken up the issue in a new bill that would ban all forms of corporal punishment nationwide.
